Twizel Kindergarten - Full time, Long Term Relieving position commencing Term 1 2019

Position – Twizel Kindergarten, Full time, Long Term Relieving, beginning no later than Monday 18 February 2019 but ideally Thursday 17 January 2019.

South Canterbury Kindergartens (SCK) – Our association has been providing early childhood education in South Canterbury for over 75 years and is the largest ECE provider in the region. Our 12 kindergartens are spread throughout the district from Timaru to Twizel. With an experienced Senior Teacher team, South Canterbury Kindergartens also provides professional support to the Waimate Kindergarten Association and to a local bi-lingual ECE centre.

Our association prides itself on a harmonious, unified, professional culture where all employees are valued. There is a developing focus on sustainable practices, wellbeing and creating effective systems. All 12 kindergartens are members of Enviroschools.

Twizel Kindergarten – this is a high performing growing kindergarten that enjoys the full support of the local community. Twizel is fast becoming a popular tourist destination, the area offering numerous recreational and sightseeing opportunities.

The kindergarten environment has been well planned and is very well resourced. It operates 8.45am -2.45pm every week day with up to 30 children aged 2-5 years attending daily. The kindergarten team is passionate about maintaining a warm, respectful, nurturing environment for tamariki.

We welcome inquires and can arrange visits to the kindergarten.

Applicants must

  • Be a fully qualified and registered teacher
  • Have a current first aid certificate

South Canterbury Kindergartens adheres to the employment conditions as offered in the Kindergarten Teachers. Head Teachers and Senior Teachers Collective Agreement 2017-2019.

West End Kindergarten - Full time permanent position

Westend Kindergarten – This is a high performing kindergarten that was given a “very well placed” assessment by the Education Review Office earlier in the year.

The kindergarten environment has been well planned and developed over many years, it enjoys the full support of the local community and is very well resourced. It operates 8.30am -2.30pm every weekday with up to 40 children aged 2-5 years attending daily. The kindergarten team is passionate about maintaining a warm, respectful, nurturing environment for tamariki.

We welcome inquires and can arrange visits to the kindergarten.
