Project work at Fairlie Area kindergarten
Carter and Josh had noticed early in Term 3 that the manu (birds) needed another place to eat and rest. From this noticing they decided to make a bird house. Time was spent drawing out their plan and revising it. This then went home to Carter’s house where his Dad, Adam, had kindly offered to turn the plan into reality. Later in Term 3 the bird house came back and the tamariki were able to decorate it and recently Adam came in to install it with the help of our tamariki. Thank you very much to Adam for his support of this project. Connecting links between home and kindergarten are appreciated and valued greatly and are important to support all tamariki’s learning.
